Over the Thanksgiving break, I had the opportunity to go to Las Vegas with my sorority sisters. As a broke college kid, going on a trip like this takes more money than originally planned. Here are some tips to make your trip to Vegas fun and still inexpensive.
Find good, cheap restaurants:
With all the good eats in Las Vegas, it is easy to over spend on food and drinks. Luckily, places like Pin-Up Pizza, Shake Shack and In-And-Out have just as satisfying meals for a lot less. Another pro tip is to split with a friend. Most of the portions are enormous so it's easier to share and save the extra food and money!
Don't let the slot machines real you in:
Gambling can become addictive if you don't know when to stop. The slot machines are the easiest way to lose more money than you think. Playing another game like blackjack or poker might save you a little more and potentially make you win big!
Budget your money for drinks:
Like food, drinks do not come cheap in vegas. The average amount to spend on a drink is $15. Pro tip, when you gamble you drink for free. So if you are looking for a quick cocktail hit the casino floor!
There are so many things other than gambling:
Budget your money to enjoy the other things. There are amazing shows, museums and attractions in Vegas! Some attractions can be pricy or need a reservation but with the right amount of planning will be worth it!
